Richmond – 48 Hour Horror film project – October 10-12 – Register

In less than three weeks, the Richmond 48 Hour HORROR Film Project kicks off, and we couldn’t be more excited about this annual filmmaking rite of passage taking place right here in RVA! Mark your calendars for October 10-12, when filmmakers from Richmond and beyond will race against the clock to create cinematic magic in just 48 hours! 32 teams are already registered, and we have room for 7 more!

Picture this: a character, a prop, a line of dialogue, and a horror genre will be revealed just before the clock starts. From that moment on, it’s a mad dash to write, shoot, edit, and deliver the best short film. Can you rise to the challenge and showcase your creativity, talent, and storytelling skills?

LEAD A TEAM!
There’s still time to register a team, join the fun, make a horror movie in 48 hours, and watch it on the big screen surrounded by family, friends, and fans! Team leaders who led a team this past summer automatically receive $25 off their Horror entry!

CALLING ALL CREW!
Are you an editor, DP, PA, AD, BTS, MUA, SFX, or other crew member looking to join a team? Don’t miss our Networking Mixer on Wednesday, September 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Harry’s Library at the Hof, 2818 W. Broad St., Richmond. Meet teams that need your skills to bring their production to life! No pre-registration required.

CALLING ALL ACTORS!
Our audition list is full, BUT our Waiting List is open. Waitlisted actors will be called forward as audition slots open up. If called, actors should prepare to appear in person on September 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Libbie Mill Library Meeting Room, 2100 Libbie Lake East St. Be seen and interact with our filmmakers looking for talent! Sorry, we do not accept self tapes.
