We’re shaking things up for 2026! For the first time ever, the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project will shoot in June! Why the change? We wanted to give filmmakers more breathing room between the Summer project and the Horror project in October.

It’s time to start organizing your crews, securing those locations, and saving these vital dates.

The 2026 season Lineup:
Registration Opens: Friday, March 27
Networking Mixer (Crew Call): Tuesday, May 19
Auditions (Calling All Actors!): Wednesday, May 27 (sign up opens May 1)
Filmmaking Weekend KICKOFF: Friday, June 5
Premiere Screenings: Sunday, June 14
Best of RVA Awards Ceremony: Sunday, June 21

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Registration opens March 27 at 7:00 PM. This is your heads up to ensure your favorite DP, editor, and lead actor are free for the weekend of June 5–7. Let’s make the 2026 our the biggest one yet!
