Casting for Student Short Film “Book of Eve”

10/3 – 10/5  (Lead actor MUST be available all three days.)

Production Title: The Book of Eve

Genre: Drama

Director Marco Duran is now casting for a student short film production from George Mason University. The film will premiere at the 2025–2026 GMU Film Festival in the Spring.

Roles:

Eve (Lead, Female, 20-25): A devout Christian woman who experiences self-doubt.

Alice (Supporting, Female, 20-25): Eve’s best friend and confidant. Balances faith with subtle skepticism.

Eve’s Mom (Supporting, Female, 40-59): A loving but stern and strict mother.

Elders (Supporting, 40s and up): Wise and caring but see the world as black and white.

Preacher (Background, Male, Older than 30)

Brothers/Sisters (Background/Extras, 18-50): Churchgoers and door-to-door preachers.

Non-union, unpaid (student film). Meals, credit, and a copy of the film provided, as well as raw footage for your reel if desired.

Note: This is not a Christian film, but it does feature religious overtones. It is not meant to be an attack on any religion but a respectful look of what it is to struggle with self-doubt.
