Light House Studio invites you to purchase tickets for the 24th Annual Youth Film Festival, which will take place on Sunday September 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM at The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, VA.
Light House Studio’s Youth Film Festival is a wonderful celebration of our community, students, and great filmmaking. The festival highlights student’s stories created during Light House Studio’s many school year workshops, community partnerships, and award-winning Summer Film Academy over the past year.
The Youth Film Festival is our most important fundraiser, providing 20% of our programming budget. Every ticket sold ensures we can keep providing an exceptional and unique filmmaking education to the Charlottesville community. This year, we are selling raffle tickets to win a free film screening or birthday party at Vinegar Hill Theatre!
The Youth Film Festival will truly showcase it all, from animation to narrative films, to films that tackle important issues including climate change, and the effects of persistent use of social media. Most of the films have running times under five minutes, giving us an opportunity to showcase a wide variety of work.
By attending the Youth Film Festival, you will be part of a first-time viewing experience of student films before they hit the national film festival circuit. Watch a recap of the 2024 festival linked here!
