“Had a BLAST at Liquid Talent x Thrive Equestrian’s workshop in Charlottesville, VA! Highly recommend if you’re looking to gain cinematic acting experience on horseback. Totally worth the investment. Only two other riders per session so you get ample attention from Al, our instructor- he was fantastic and deeply knowledgeable! The training pace is perfect for fast learners. Minors are allowed (with legal guardian’s consent ofc). We learned how to control & communicate with the horse, effectively use it as a living “prop”, navigate camera angles, physically & verbally interacting with other riders, dialoguing on horseback, riding from walk to gallop in various terrains, etc. Also got to ride a couple different horses for range. At the end we quickly got in costume and shot 2 mini scenes of choice per rider for reel footage.
