Lynchburg – Casting call for student project – 9/17-9/25 – Unpaid

The film follows Gavin Pearson, a shy hearing impaired teen who struggles to make friends at his school. Through a series of misunderstandings, he encounters the kind-hearted Grace, a fellow student who listens to and learns about Gavin’s struggles to communicate.

CASTING DETAILS
-Male actor, 18-23 years old, for the role of GAVIN PEARSON, the protagonist and a hard of hearing teen. Preferred that candidates are part of either the DEAF or HARD OF HEARING communities. Open to first time actors!
-Male actor, 6-11 years old, for the role of YOUNG GAVIN. Must have parent/guardian’s permission to participate. Parent must be present on set.
-Male actor, 28-35 years old, for the role of TEACHER in the classroom.
-Background talent, ages 18-25, needed for students in the hallway, classroom, and gymnasium.

SHOOT DETAILS
-Shooting September 17-25th.
-Expect to spend 8-10 hours on set.
-This is an UNPAID opportunity. Snacks and meals provided on set!
-Please inquire about compensation for travel expenses.
