Storyline: On the outskirts of a small southern Virginia town, retired serial killer Ron Blair struggles to come to terms with the acts of his cruel past. His daily routine of odd jobs and drinking is interrupted when screams from the woods lure him into a chance of saving victims from a boogeyman with uncanny similarities to himself. In surreal settings of the dark and dreamy woods, Ron is confronted with visions of his own victims, memories of love, loss, and the inner turmoil that created the man he has become.
SEEKING
[RON BLAIR] Early to mid 50s, white man. A retired serial killer who has always felt disconnected. Ron is a brooding, quiet narcissist. Embittered from losing the love of his life, he has drifted town to town along the Blue Ridge to kill. Despite his isolation, Ron finds companionship with Sammy where he gets glimpses of the slow life. Physically strong, works any odd job to make ends meet. Handsome in his own way, but has an unsettling presence. Drinks beer like it’s water. Likes loud music, will only dance if alone in his garage. In his mind, he’s a tragic hero.
LEAD – Shoots for 3 days, $150/DAY. $25/hr for any scheduled fittings or rehearsals.
**Must be comfortable smoking prop cigarettes and with fake blood. Dancing but doesn’t have to be a good dancer (In the styles of John Travolta, 80s Americana, Rockabilly, Devil in Disguise Elvis-like). Experience with choreographed fighting is a plus. A stunt coordinator will be present. Southwestern VA drawl or dialects a plus!
[SAMMY] Late 30s-40s, any ethnicity, open gender/gender nonconforming person. Proud owner of their queer bar, and will do anything to keep it open. The heartbeat of Ron’s life. Warm, welcoming to all and always with a touch of southern charm. SUPPORTING – Shoots for 1 day, $150/DAY. $25/hr for any scheduled fittings or rehearsals.

[JANICE] Early to mid 30s, white woman. Sammy’s very opinionated coworker and friend, Janice often says too much in the wrong settings. Divorced mother of three. Uses Sammy’s bar as an escape from the weird men in town. Has a routine she likes to stick to. Loves Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Thinks Ron’s an asshole.

[BOOGEYMAN/RON’S BODY DOUBLE/FIGHT PARTNER] Early to mid 50s, white man. The manifestation of all of the bad in Ron. The Boogeyman haunts, moving slowly but with motivation, and becomes more apparent with Ron’s increasing guilt. Physically strong.
SUPPORTING – Shoots for 1 day, $150/DAY.
