The next general membership meeting of the Virginia Production Alliance Hampton Roads District will be at Regent University on May 30th. Meet and greet from 6:30P to 7P and meeting from 7P to 9P.
This month the VPA has a couple of excited and interesting speakers that you don’t want to miss.
What happens to a film professional when they put their career on hold to start a family and then find themselves faced with the challenge of relaunching?
Sibel Galindez (IMDB: Sibel Ergener) portrayed LT Elizabeth ‘Skates’ Hawkes on the popular TV series “JAG” and she joins us this month to tell her story and talk about how we can use our talents in different ways while setting the stage for a relaunch.
Jake Brinn, ODU Film Club president, will also be speaking to us this month fresh from his trip to Cannes Film Festival where the club’s Campus MovieFest Winner, “Flushed”, is selected to be screened. As if that wasn’t enough to get you out to the meeting, we will be raffling off an admission ticket to “Elevate III” at WHRO Studios in Norfolk. “Elevate III” is the June 24 th Hampton Roads Hollywood Panel and Mixer presented by Mixknowledgy and Golden Thrones Productions. The May 30 th general meeting will be held at Regent Universities Comm Building, 1000 Regent University Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
They will be in Screening Room A. Meet and greet starts at 6:30, Meeting starts at 7.
It is best to park in the lot on the north side of the building.
Light snacks will be provided before the meeting.
Members and Regent University Students and Faculty get in free.
