William & Mary Global Film Festival Launches Student Film Competition

Williamsburg, VA – The William & Mary Global Film Festival invites middle, high school, and university student filmmakers to submit entries for the Student Film Competition. Works of fiction and documentary films will be accepted. Films must have a run time of 25 minutes or less and be entirely student produced. The competition is open to students from anywhere in the world and entries will be accepted from November 1 – December 15, 2016.

A panel of William & Mary students and faculty will evaluate the entries. Filmmakers may be selected to have their work screening during the festival, which will take place February 23-26, 2017 in Williamsburg, Virginia. The winning film in each category will receive a camera prize package provided by Canon Virginia, Inc.
