Washington DC- Responding to Digital Innovation Challenges in Japan lecture/panel discussions- Nov. 21- FREE

Join in on an afternoon of lectures and panel discussions exploring solutions to digital innovation challenges in Japan. 

 The Japan Information & Culture Center, Embassy of Japan and the Washington Innovation Network (WIN) are pleased to present experts in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment.

Dr. Toshio Obi, Professor of Information and Communication Policy at Waseda University, will provide a lecture on digital innovation challenges inhibiting political, industrial, educational, and economic success in Japan. He will also explore how Japan can strengthen ICT to remain competitive in the international market.

Dr. Naoko Iwasaki, Associate Professor at the Insitute of eGovernment at Waseda University, will address labor force issues in technology. Her lecture will focus on women in Japan as an untapped resource for innovative solutions to digital challenges. She will also offer comparative data between women in technology in the U.S. with women in technology in Japan to explore ways that Japan can nurture women’s performance in the workplace.
