Yves Saint Laurent: His Life and Times
(2004; 77 min; In French with English Subtitles)

A fully realized portrait of Yves Saint Laurent emerges from extensive interviews at different stages of his career, archival film footage and photos, and frank commentary by his closest associates and contemporaries. This poignant and moving biography of the man who re-imagined women’s fashion is an excellent companion piece to the Yves Saint Laurent: The Perfection of Style experience. The film will be introduced by VMFA’s Sydney and Frances Lewis Family Curator – Decorative Arts from 1890 to the Present, Barry Shifman.
