Richmond – University of Richmond Student Film Seeking 3 Actors – Feb. 16-28 – Unpaid

For their final project, University of Richmond Student is seeking three actors. Unpaid but link to the film will be provided.

Title: Captain Jackson

Logline: A cartoonist struggles to escape the pressures of his idealized self: his own creation Captain Jackson.

Shooting dates: 1-2 days Between February 16 – February 28

Character:

Ben: 20-30 Lead. Male. Any ethnicity. Non-paid.

Ben is a well-intentioned yet insecure young cartoonist. While his imagination flows with creativity, he feels trapped inside his feeble build and lacks the confidence of his cartoon character Captain Jackson. He soon becomes consumed by his desire to defeat his cartoon rival and free himself from his social awkwardness.

Captain Jackson: Supporting. Male. 20-30, Non-paid.

Captain Jackson is the superhero creation from Ben’s comic book. Tall, muscular, and brimming with confidence, Jackson finds delight in ridiculing Ben’s physique and personality.

Sarah: 20-30. Supporting. Female. Any ethnicity. Non-paid.

Sarah is a vibrant, cheerful woman to whom Ben is attracted. Greeting life with a smile, she never forgets to smell the fresh air and listen to her favorite pop tunes wherever she goes.

Director:

This is an intermediate undergraduate film directed by Hayden Hilbert.

Project Specifications:

This is an undergraduate film for the Intermediate Film Production class at the University of Richmond. This is a 5-minute sync sound film shot on a Sony A7s (1920×1080 HD, color).

Snacks will be provided and you will receive credit as an actor and a link to the final copy. The project will shoot between 1-2 days between February 16 and February 28 on the University of Richmond campus.
