Richmond – Poe Film Festival – Oct 21 – Free

Poe Film Festival

Join us for an afternoon of Poe-inspired short films. And it’s FREE!

WHERE: The historic Grace Street Theater (VCU campus) 934 West Grace Street, Richmond

WHEN:  Sunday, October 21.  Doors open at 2 pm.

Our 2018 Poe Film Festival, a weekend celebration of the finest young filmmakers in Virginia and the best field of national and international professional film artists, culminates with our Sunday program of short films.

You can’t celebrate the Halloween season any better than watching our contemporary adaptations of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” Hawthorne’s Gothic masterpiece “The House of the Seven Gables,” and our world-premiere — Irish director Damian Draven’s dramatic interpretation of “The Raven.”

Sprinkle in gems from a UCLA filmmaker star, an award-winning director from northern Virginia, and a few edgy New York films, and you have an autumn afternoon with a little kick.
