Seeking the following roles:

CHARLIE – African American. Male, 60s-70s. A charming trickster.  Bit of a ladies man in his day. Deeply lonely and physically hungry. He has a Charlie Chaplin like bravado that makes it easy for him to recover after getting knocked down. A well thought of jazz musician in Jackson Ward in the 1950s who has fallen on hard times. Ultimately he’s a performer, willing to put on different masks to get what he needs. Can be extremely warm to others. Flamboyant. Though thread bare, still stylish. Proud, in spite of his homelessness.  Shoots 3 days, Mon., June 13th, Tues., June 14th and Wed., June 15th.  Lodging provided if needed.  $150/shoot day.

OWNER OF THE HOT DOG STAND – African American, Male, 20-30s.  Hip guy, entrepreneurial minded. Willing to do hard work.  Not empathetic or sympathetic. Wrapped up in his own world, usually has his nose buried in the business section of the newspaper, but loves the sports page as well.   Doesn’t care unless you can pay. Has seen Charlie’s type before, the hungry homeless man is a common specimen to his stand and he knows how to deal with them.  He is not cruel, it’s just business. This hot dog stand is just the first step on his plan for success.  Shoots 1 day, actual date TBD.  $100/shoot day.
