Norfolk – ODU Social Injustice Screenplay Competition – $500 Honorarium

Social Injustice Screenplay Competition

Old Dominion University’s Film Program is announcing a Social Injustice screenplay competition.

ODU is looking to produce a short film thematically based around social injustice during the Spring 2017 semester. They are soliciting screenplays to utilize for the production.

Screenplays should be approximately 10-12 pages, and possible to produce on a modest budget. We are not looking for material that is directly political in nature, but themes addressing race issues, economic or social inequality, and discrimination are encouraged.

If a screenplay is selected for production, the screenwriter will receive an honorarium of $500, an opportunity to meet the student filmmakers and visit the set during production, and appropriate screen credit & IMDb listing.

Screenplays will be considered on a rolling basis, but will not be accepted after January 3rd 2017. Please email your submissions to: filmprogram@odu.edu
