International – Women’s Film Challenge – Begins Oct. 1

Offering a solution to the disparity of women in film, The Women’s Film Challenge features short films created by female directors, writers & producers. The Challenge launches online at https://theaudienceawards.com on October 1st, 2016. Female directors, producers & writers submit their short films 10 minutes & under in one of 4-5 categories to compete in WFC. The films are judged by a jury and the audience votes. The finalists premiere their films from the first round of the online challenge at The International Audience Awards Film Festival April 1, 2017 at The Laemmle Theatre in Los Angeles.

The challenge provides an impactful opportunity for female filmmakers to utilize their short film calling cards placing them in front of a global audience, industry professionals and brands. Through the challenge, female filmmakers advance their careers through audience building, mentorship, winning prizes and opportunities to work with brands.
