Graduate student at American University needs Boom Operator/Sound crew member for an ultra-low budget feature length horror thriller.
Looking to shoot this weekend, September 23-24th.
The project will be mainly shot in Central Virginia in and around Fredericksburg. Heavy use of a custom handheld rig and POV shots for the majority of the film will be used so experience with this type of shooting is a plus but not a requirement. Test shooting and rehearsals with most of the cast have already been underway. Many of them are veterans of other productions including Spielberg’s Lincoln, AMC’s Turn, Sleepy Hollow and Legend’s & Lies.
The basic plot of the movie follows with the journey of three roommates’ to reach their loved ones after a deadly outbreak infects much of the east coast engulfing the nation in chaos. Similar to 28 Days later but with more of a Jurassic Park tone, the film will focus mostly on the dangers presented by other survivors & the collapse of infrastructure than the actual zombies threat itself (Though, they do pop up several times throughout the picture nearly killing the trio each time).
