Animation & High School 

 We are open to films of any genre in any language (with subtitles). We do not have a section dedicated to family films, but love films that appeal to the child in us all.  We always have a horror film section, in honor of a genre that has been an important launching point for independent filmmakers. DCIFF 2017 also welcomes open source films, art films and web series (single episodes) and the wide spectrum of documentary formats and issues .

2017 is the second year of POLI-DOCS  —  taking on timely issues that Washington DC needs to hear.

2017 is the third year of our High School Film Competition exhibiting exceptional talent by those 18 and under.

2017 is our ninth year presenting our On The Hill Summit…this year we review the state of tax incentives
