Philip J Cook
Producer, director, writer PHILIP COOK started out as a cinematographer for the animation company Broadcast Arts—whose great claim to fame was producing PEE WEE’S PLAYHOUSE. At twenty-four, Cook went on to write and direct his first feature, STAR QUEST, which aired on the Sci-Fi Channel. He then wrote and directed INVADER, which aired on HBO, Showtime and Cinemax. He has produced countless political campaign commercials and high-end corporate image pieces for leading telecomm companies. He owns Eagle Films, a production and visual effect company. He is currently in pre-production on the rousing prequel to DESPISER set in 4th century Britain.
H. Paul Moon
H. Paul Moon is a filmmaker, composer and video artist. Through his production company Zen Violence Films, he profiles performing and visual artists who span boundaries from classical arts to new media technologies. He also creates experimental films in the tradition of wordless environmental cinema ranging from city symphonies to “Koyaanisqatsi.”
Prior to his recent interest in filmmaking, Moon was a playwright and a composer of incidental music for theatre. He lives and works in the Washington, D.C. area, and manages online filmmaker communities atfocuspulling.com and docofilm.com. He is the recipient of the Emergence award at Docs In Progress, where he teaches video editing as an Adobe Certified Expert (A.C.E.).
Kirk T. Schroder
Kirk serves as counsel for film production companies and film financiers who have distribution agreements with major Hollywood studios. Representing award-winning, independent filmmakers and producers, he has extensive working knowledge of the many legal and business aspects of filmmaking (including production, collective bargaining agreements, financing and distribution arrangements). For more than a decade, he served as a counsel to Universal Pictures. Kirk also represents creative talent such as writers, directors and actors for varying size productions both in union and non-union settings.
Heather Waters
Heather Waters grew up in Nashville, TN and later moved to Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA where she worked as an actress, model, and singer. In 2004, Waters transitioned behind the camera to work as a producer, writer, and director. Waters is also well known for being a strong promoter of other creatives. She is the Founder & Producer of the Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF); Co-Owner of Creative World Awards (CWA); Founder of The Media Industry Xchange (THE MIX); and FLOW RVA. She splits her time between Richmond, VA, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, GA.
