Rosebud Film Festival Announces Call for Entries
The Rosebud Film Festival and Arlington Independent Media encourage filmmakers to submit entries to the 2018 festival, which will take place January 26-28, 2018.
For 27 years, the competition has recognized and honored the innovative, unusual, experimental, and deeply personal in film and video making. All film types are welcome, including features, shorts, fiction, documentary, experimental, animated, and music videos. The competition has been previously open exclusively to DC, Maryland, and Virginia filmmakers, but is open to all submitters this year. Filmmakers should submit works first released between January 1, 2015, and November 30, 2017.
Five winners—including one Best DMV film in honor of prior tradition—will be announced at a gala awards celebration on the evening of Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Clarendon Ballroom. In addition to promotional opportunities and special screenings, the five winners will each receive $1,000 cash.
